The Microsoft Keyboard includes adapters for both the PS/2 and Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports on your computer. You can connect the keyboard to the computer by using one of the following methods:
Connect the USB keyboard to the USB ports on the back or front of your computer. If you're using a USB hub, it can also connect to the hub. However, we recommend a direct connection to the back of the computer if possible. If you have a laptop computer, an external keyboard can also connect to one of the USB ports. Many keyboards connect to PCs wirelessly using a small USB receiver—often these keyboards don't require Bluetooth because they use a special radio frequency (RF) to connect to that receiver. Other keyboards require Bluetooth (or let you switch to Bluetooth if you prefer it). Connect your MIDI Keyboard to your computer using the appropriate USB cable. If your MIDI device is older and does not have a USB port, you will need a MIDI-to-USB adapter. 2 Install Any Necessary Drivers.
